Make a short priority list
Start with the rooms you want to change and the reasons for the renovation. Separate essential outcomes from ideas you would consider if the scope allows. Mention anything you want to retain, such as a floor, appliance or built-in feature.
You do not need a finished design to make an enquiry. A clear description of the problem and a few priorities are enough to begin. If the work involves more than one room, explain which connections or phases matter most.
Gather useful information
Include your city or neighbourhood, approximate dimensions if known, a few photographs and any relevant drawings or previous reports. Identify known issues and earlier repairs. Label approximate information so it is not mistaken for a verified measurement.
Pick a small number of style references and explain what you like about each one. The Formula style guide shows concepts for discussion, not photographs of completed client projects or a promise that every pictured detail will suit your home. Photos or plans can be emailed after your initial enquiry; website file upload is currently off.
Explain timing and household constraints
Share your preferred start window, including whether it is flexible or not yet decided. Mention access restrictions, occupied rooms, pets, parking and any periods when work would be difficult. These details help the team discuss a workable sequence.
If you have a planning budget, explain what it is intended to cover and which items may be supplied separately. Early discussion helps identify scope choices; it is not a fixed-price commitment. Product selections, existing conditions and further review may still affect an estimate.
Know what to confirm before work begins
Ask for a written scope with inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, responsibilities and a process for changes. Clarify which investigations, design decisions or professional approvals are still needed. Confirm scheduling and any conditions before treating a proposed start as agreed.
After you submit the website form, a confirmed receipt means the enquiry reached our configured CRM. It does not confirm a site visit, quotation, contract, payment or construction booking. Keep the receipt for follow-up and contact Formula if you need to clarify the request.
